The Association’s regular newsletter provides a combination of topical features, review articles and announcements of recent publications. It is also one of the best places to follow what is happening in the world of Victorian Studies with a wide-ranging collection of calls for papers and details of forthcoming events.

The autum 2011 newsletter is now online. This issue is rich in conference reports, including of the association's recent meeting at Birmingham. There is an art history focus as Stephen Roberts reports on the discovery of a long-lost oil painting and Rosemary Mitchell reflects on ‘Art for the Nation: Sir Charles Eastlake’ at the National Gallery. Newsletter editor Alexandra Lewis warmly welcomes submissions for future issues. Please contact her with any items for inclusion at BAVSnews@gmail.com
